Restorative Yoga Mini Retreat

Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing manipulation of the nervous system - leading to deep relaxation, when all the organ systems of the body are benefited. We switch on the Parasympathetic Nervous System (Rest and Digest) which is the opposite of our Sympathetic Nervous System (Fight or Flight).
This Mini Retreat allows you to actively and intentionally do nothing. There’s no DOING in Restorative Yoga. Extensive use of Yoga props (bolsters, blankets, blocks etc) support, cushion and cradle your body, we cover you up and leave you there for around 20 minutes per position or longer if you want. We’re looking for that point where the physical body can completely relax, which initiates and facilitates healing on deeper levels including stress and emotions.
Give yourself a gift of time and healing space. Take off the heavy load you may have been carrying and give yourself the opportunity to find your inner healer (Parasympathetic Nervous system) to emerge. Research shows reduction of blood pressure, improved immune function, digestion, fertility, elimination, and increase “good cholesterol” levels. The Restorative practice is just the strategy to hold space for your inner healer (Parasympathetic nervous system) to emerge, and allow the body to do what it wants to do.

This Mini Retreat is highly recommended for any and everyone, and serves as a lovely gift to self or another. You are held in a safe space with a Mature yogi with 12 years of professional training and teaching experience.
Bookings are essential and limited spaces as this is a prop heavy session. Dress warm and in layers, and bring a pair of socks.
